Join Lisa Bourazak, DVM, MPT, DACVAA for "Opioids & Benzodiazepines in Veterinary Medicine: Safe Prescription Practices." This course will include concepts of pain management, including definitions and mechanisms of pain, how to assess pain, discuss risk factors for abuse and diversion, discuss pain assessment and how to develop a pain treatment plan while limiting opioid use. A discussion on benzodiazepines will be included and how these interact with opioids.

This course fulfills Maine's controlled substances CE requirement.
