MVMA Ultrasound Certificate Program

The MVMA is pleased to be offering a 8-session certificate program in ultrasound with Dr. Robert O'Brien. The program is designed to optimize the training diagnostic ultrasound for private practice veterinarians. It will cover abdominal, musculoskeletal, thoracic (non-echo), neck and echo ultrasound topics in both didactic (lecture) topics and hands-on training. The course is composed of 8 Sundays with the morning (8AM-12) composed of lecture and the afternoon (1-4PM) with hands-on training. At the end of the course each candidate will need to successfully complete (70%) both a written examination (taken at home) and a practical image-based exam (including both abdominal and echo portions, see below under “Month 12"). Later in the course, we will host a boarded Radiologist (Month 6 or 8) and a boarded Cardiologist (Month 10 or 12) for case discussions in their area of interest. A coffee break (AM) and lunch (noon) will be served at each session.

More details, including dates and prices, will be coming soon.
